NAPA, California, November 1st, 2006: Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV) announces the launch of its online Arts & Culture Master Calendar, accessible at www.nvarts.org. The calendar includes visual, literary, theater, music, dance, historical, and cultural events; it also features workshops, classes, auctions and benefits, and lectures, and includes a page devoted to events for teens. The calendar is a free community resource for locals and visitors alike, designed to create awareness and participation in Napa Valley's rich arts and culture sector.
"This is a dynamic, powerful calendar that we hope everyone in this community will use," said Michelle Williams, Executive Director of ACNV. "Users can search by date or by event type, and can also download events to a personal calendar, send events to friends to invite them to come along, or even request the calendar to send a reminder text or email so users don't miss out on favorite events."
The calendar, designed by local artist Kristine Cummins, was created to support the arts and culture sector of Napa County, and to bring the community together to enjoy creative and enriching experiences. ACNV invites all local businesses, wineries, hotels, B&Bs, visitors' centers, Chambers of Commerce, and non-profits to link to the Calendar on their own websites. Instructions on linking to the calendar, information about posting, and information about becoming a member of Arts Council Napa Valley can be found at www.nvarts.org.
