CA' TOGA Art Gallery

CA' TOGA Art Gallery

CA' TOGA, located in the northern end of California's picturesque Napa Valley, is the creation of world-renowned artist Carlo Marchiori.

Villa CA' TOGA, as Marchiori has named his estate, is a fanciful replica of a Palladian-style home, a style seen in Veneto, Italy. Over the years, CA' TOGA has grown and evolved as Marchiori has added marvelous new architectural elements and sculptures. Using ordinary and recycled building materials, he has created a captivating, fantastical fusion of Italian Renaissance art, mythological personalities, and contemplative gardens.

In 1998, Marchiori founded CA' TOGA Art Gallery, an exclusive showcase of his paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, and ceramics, along with a curated selection of gift and design items.

Huether's Downtown Napa gallery is an exclusive venue for his fine art. Using the seductive properties of richly saturated color, a wide array of natural and artificial light sources, luscious and diverse texture, found materials and quirky, sometimes unsettling imagery, his work offers viewers a complex intellectual experience.

The Hess Collection

The Hess Collection

Donald Hess began collecting art in 1966. Today, The Hess Collection houses less than a quarter of a collection that is shown in museums worldwide. His collecting style is a personal endeavor driven by a passion rather that monitory investment or current trends. He develops a close dialogue with an artist to better understand what drives him or her to create and he carefully limits his focus as a collector to 20 living artists whose work he faithfully supports long term. As is evident by the caliber of the collection, he collects with the uncanny ability to acquire works by lesser known artists who often go on to become well known and respected in their disciplines. his typical commitment to an artist spans decades and various stages of his career.

Oscar Aguilar-Olea Fine Artist

Oscar Aguilar-Olea Fine Artist

"The base of the graphic expression always moves between two poles, line in tone. The drawings became like a crystal- clear configuration in which every stroke means and reveals the form, in fact, there are no lines in nature, lines can only be an abstraction to represent the real world." ~Oscar Aguilar-Olea

Oscar Aguilar was born in Guanajuato Mexico. His professional art studies were initiated at "La Esmeralda" escuela nacional de pintura y escultura, and " Academia de San Carlos" escuela nacional de artes de la UNAM. in Mexico City.

In 1978, he was one of the founding members of the group "SUMA". This group is now recognized as one of the factors that helped change the perpective of the modern art in Mexico in the 70's. This group participated in the First Biennial for young artist at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, France.

As an individual, Oscar Aguilar Olea has participated in many galleries and museums in Mexico City, and other countries. He has received honorable mentions and awards in various biennials.

He has been an art teacher in public and private schools in Mexico, and the United States, he also dedicates part of his time to research classical technics like egg tempera, and sculpture.
